You might have noticed I changed the name of the blog. I was thinking of a name that fit and so I used Mindful Kapha as a ‘working title’ until I came up with something that felt completely right and clear. When I really contemplated what I am trying to do, what my intention is, the words that came to mind are “to let go’. Specifically, to let go of weight I don’t need (about 20 kilos), stuff (things I collect that I don’t need or use or enjoy), attachment (to …anything), busyness (not making time for things and people I like), worry (about all of the above and the future). The aim is to live mindfully and invite as much calm and balance in my life as I can. So I changed the title to LETTING GO as I think it sums up what my intention is.
I started this blog when I was left incapacitated at home after a serious accident, which meant I could not exactly do, be, or go as I please. So assuming there will be no accidents or incidents that will impair my mobility for several months again in the near future; and taking into consideration life will get in the way from time to time … I look forward to continuing this journey with more energy in 2013.
A big thank you to TLB (The Lovely Boyfriend) Fred for his care and patience dealing with an invalid for four months and eating whatever vegetarian food I gave him. Also to Mandy, Natalie, Malin, Deborah and Dearbhla for your love and support. I love you all.
Wishing you all a very happy new year and may your deepest desires and dreams manifest in 2013.
“Letting go gives us freedom, and freedom is the only condition for happiness. If, in our heart, we still cling to anything – anger, anxiety, or possessions – we cannot be free.”
