The Plan: Tuesday
On waking Hot water with slice of lemon
Mid-morning (10-11) Dr. Oz’s Quinoa with Prunes Recipe and Ginger Tea
Lunch (12-13) Chickpea Soup with Spinach and Amaranth Crackers
Dinner (18:30-19:30) Gingered Aduki Beans (p 106) with Plain Indian Rice (p 129)

The Reality:

Had a nice warm breakfast again today. I really love this recipe. I forgot about the ginger tea and about the crackers I was supposed to have with my lunch. I supplemented lunch with a humus wrap from the canteen as the leftover soup wasn’t quite enough.

20130122-213947.jpgDinner was a crazed stressful affair; I was so tired and wanted to make dinner for today and tomorrow.  Aduki beans are some of the best beans for reducing kapha as they are drying. I’d never cooked them before. This recipe was very bland and yes, the beans were very dry. The rice with mustard seeds and cumin on the other hand was lovely, and I’ll post the recipe sometime.

No gym tonight again as am so tired and it’s too damn cold.
